Concerned Citizens Committee Recommendations
Dear Mr. Murphy
Members of the citizens committee reviewed the progress working drawings that were presented to us at a meeting
with John Leyerle and Steve Chalky on 03/29/11. The committee approves of the slope retention and re- vegetation
design. We would like to put our support behind the JWA team's efforts for approval by the Board of Supervisors
for funding and construction of this much - needed improvement. We hope that our sentiments reflect the collective
opinion of the community we live in.
The committee would also like to acknowledge the excellent job that both John Leyerle and Steve Chalky have
done on this project. They have demonstrated considerable expertise in developing a solution that satisfies both
the airport's security requirements and the community's desires for an aesthetic solution that considers pedestrian
safety. They have been very considerate of the community's desire to be involved in the design process. It has
been a pleasure to work with these gentlemen. The committee would like to thank you, as well, for assigning them
to this project, and for your directive to involve the community in the design process.
The committee would like to see this project proceed as fast as possible. If there is anything that we can do
as community members to help expedite the remainder of the process, please don't hesitate to call on us.
