ITEM NO. 1.
SUBJECT: 4341 MacArthur Boulevard, Suite F
La Salsa; Milestone Management

SUMMARY: A Use Permit requested for an eating and drinking establishment and
a waiver of parking to expand the seating from 21 seats to 36 seats
without an increase in net public area.
ACTION: Continue the public hearing on UP No. 2001 -018 to the meeting of
November 8, 2001.
ITEM NO. 2.
SUBJECT: Carmelo's Ristorante
3520 E. Coast Highway
SUMMARY: Discussion of noise related complaints generated by live
entertainment and patrons.
ACTION: If sufficient cause exists, set Use Permit No. 1908 Amended for
review by the Planning Commission on November 8, 2001.
ITEM NO. 3.
SUBJECT: The Irvine Company (PA2001 -191)
680 Newport Center Drive
SUMMARY: Request to approve a traffic study for the construction of an office
building (approximately 54,900 square feet) in Block 600 of
Newport Center.
ACTION: Approve Traffic Study No. 2001 -001 and ADOPT Resolution
No. entitled, "A Resolution of the Planning Commission of
the City of Newport Beach Approving Traffic Study No. 2001 -001
for Property Located at 680 Newport Center Drive."
ITEM NO. 4.
SUBJECT: CPI Designs (PA2001 -039)
4545 MacArthur Boulevard
Radisson Hotel
SUMMARY: A use permit to construct a 4,500 square foot solid roofed patio
structure located in the area of the existing tennis courts on the hotel
property. The proposed structure will be used in conjunction with
hotel events and banquets.
ACTION: Approve an amendment to Use Permit No. 1547 and adopt
Resolution No. 2001 - entitled, "A Resolution of the Planning
Commission of the City of Newport Beach Approving an
Amendment to Use Permit No. 1547."
