The facility was inspected on May 10, 2000. We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiencies have been corrected and we have been notified of the corrections: 1. Repairs must be made to the gangway handrail, and piling hangers. 2. One section of the 2X6 decking has rotted and needs to be replaced. The Newport Beach City Council Harbor Permit Policies require that at the time of transfer, all harbor structures shall be inspected for compliance with the City's minimum standards, and the conditions of the existing permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected prior to transfer of the permit. We have been notified that this escrow is scheduled to close this week. City Code allows the permit to be transferred within one month from the close of escrow. The above mentioned repairs must be completed before this permit can be transferred. Also, the Transfer Application Card must be signed by the seller and buyer and returned to this office. Please advise this department when the above deficiencies have been corrected. Call 644-3043 if you require additional information in regards to this matter or to request a re -inspection.
