Harbor Resources

Dredging — Rhine Channel
POLB schedule has been delayed by a couple months
Rhine material needed July 2011
Design plans are 99% complete
City has postponed going to bid until final logistic details
are resolved with the POLB to avoid costly change
orders later
Allows more planning
Possible bid release January 2011?
Coastal Commission postponed till January — giving
Coastal staff more time to prepare
Add temporary moorings and floating docks in H and K
fields for dislocated Rhine vessels

Log Boom back at its most effective position at
North Star Beach
Traps debris before it enters the Lower Bay
Regularly maintained by General Services who
corals the debris, dries it on the beach and hauls
away.
Boom previously relocated near the Coast Highway
Bridge during the Upper Bay dredging project for
safety reasons

Balboa Marina Public Access Slips

Irvine Company and City staff met with Linda Isle residents on November 9.
