SUBJECT: Appointment to the Coastal -Bay Water Quality Citizens' Advisory
Committee
ISSUE:
Should the Council make an appointment to the Coastal -Bay Water Quality Committee
to replace Council Member Nancy Gardner's position as a citizen member?
RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Ray Halowski as the designee of District #1 Council Member Mike Henn to the
Coastal -Bay Water Quality Committee, effective immediately.
DISCUSSION:
When Council Member Nancy Gardner was elected to the City Council, she had to
vacate her seat as the District #1 appointment to the Coastal -Bay Water Quality
Committee. Gardner lives in Corona del Mar, but Coastal -Bay appointees do not have
to reside in a speck district. Council Member Mike Henn has designated that Mr. Ray
Halowski be Mr. Henn's appointment to this Committee. Council Member Gardner is
the chairperson of the Committee now.
