BOX 1768, NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92659-1768 June 3, 1991 Mariners Escrow 4 Corporate Plaza Newport Beach, CA 92660 Re: Escrow 7417 JJ, Julia Sirs The City of Newport Beach Marine Department has received a remsest to transfer pier permit 0152-333 for the property located at 333 East Bay Front, Newport Beach, CA. The facility was inspected on 6/3/91. We cannot transfer the pier permit until the following deficiency(ies) has/have been corrected and WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE CORRECTION: The water and electrical supply to the dock need to either be brought up to code or removed entirely. If removed, the water pipe and electrical conduit must be cut off flush with the bulkhead and the hole in the bulkhead must be filled with an epoxy caulking. The City Harbor Permit Policies state: 10.D. "At the time of transfer, all harbor structures shall be inspected for compliance with the City's minimum plumbing, electrical and structural requiremenmts, and the conditions of the existing permit. All structural deficiencies must be corrected prior to transfer of the permit." A permit for plumbing or electrical work must be obtained from the Building Department of the City. PLEASE ADVISE THIS DEPARTMENT WHEN THE ABOVE DEFICIENCIES HAVE BEEN CORRECTED. When we have been notified, the structure will again be inspected and when the requirements have been met the pier permit will be transferred. Included in requirements for transfer of the pier permit is the $275 transfer fee and the signed transfer card. You can telephone 714-644-3044 to request a reinspection of the structure.
