NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach will hold a
public hearing on the application of Von's Companies, Inc. for Use Permit UP2007 -029
on the property located at 21181 Newport Coast Drive. The property is located in the
Newport Ridge Planned Community District.
An appeal of the Planning Commission approval of a use permit to allow on -sale wine
tasting with a new Type 42 (On -Sale Beer & Wine Public Premise) alcoholic beverage
license and a Type 21 (Off -Sale General) alcoholic beverage license that was previously
approved through the County of Orange. The request, filed by the applicant, is that City
Council modify conditions of approval relating to service, control, and supervision.
This project has been determined to be categorically exempt under the requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act under Class 1 (Existing Facilities).
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that said public hearing will be held on June 10,
2008 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Newport Beach City Hall,
3300 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, at which time and place any and all
persons interested may appear and be heard thereon. If you challenge this project in
court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the
public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City
