Members of the public are invited to comment on non - agenda items of public interest. Speakers are
limited to three minutes.
CONSENT CALENDAR
NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
All matters listed under Consent Calendar (1 -6) are considered by the Commission to be routine and will all be enacted
by one motion in the form listed below. The commission members have received detailed staff reports on each of the
items recommending approval. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time the commission
votes on the motion unless members of the commission, staff, or the public request a specific item to be discussed
and /or removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action.
Members of the public who wish to discuss a Consent Calendar item should come forward to the lectern upon invitation
by the Chair, state their name and Consent Calendar item number, and complete the sign -in card provided at the
podium. Speakers are limited to five minutes on agenda items.

Report of Park and Tree Division during September and upcoming projects in
October.

Report of activities of Recreation 8: Senior Services during September and upcoming
activities in October.
4. Donation of Shade Structure at Buffalo Hills Park (Item 4)
Accept donation of shade structure from Harbor View Community Association to be
installed at Buffalo Hills Park.
5. Bench Donation (Item 5)
Accept donation of two benches from Mr. 8: Mrs. David E. Niederhaus to be installed
at Castaways Park.
6. Bench Donation (Item 6)
Accept donation from David Burkland and Joanne Reinhard to be installed at 11`h
Street and West Oceanfront.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
7. Support Services of the Friends of OASIS (Item 7)
Discussion of the work of the Friends and the need for their fundraising and support.
8. Corona del Mar Reforestation, Phase III (Item 8)
Discussion /approval of phase III of the Corona del Mar reforestation.
9. Castaways Park Planting Plan, Phase I (Item 9)
Discussion/ approval of Phase I of planting plan for Castaways Park.
