Carter. Discussion • Staff received an inquiry from Ms. Michelle T. Carter, regarding a proposed donation for a dog nuisance dispenser at the Montero Avenue street end on the Bay side. Subsequently, the donor submitted the attached letter dated November 29, 2004 requesting the approval of a donation of one dispenser (Attachment A). The dispenser will be purchased and stocked by Ms. Carter. The City will install the dispenser on the light post per the attached picture (Attachment B). The addition of the dispenser may significantly improve the environment of the Bay and beach at this location by eliminating dog nuisances. There is no plaque associated with this donation. Ms. Carter and the President of the Central Newport Beach Community Association has received a copy of this report and notice of the Parks, Beaches, and Recreation Commission meeting. I am writing to advise that I would like to proceed with a donation to the City of Newport Beach. I would like to donate one dispenser to be installed at Montero Ave "on the bay side, by the beach, at the end of the street" and understand that I will be responsible for replacing the stock of bags as needed. I have enclosed a donation of 100.00 donation to . the City of Newport Beach, and will plan on buying the case of 2100 bags for 125.00 directly from the vendor. I understand that this request is subject to approval by the Parks, beaches and Recreation Commission. If you have any questions or require additional information you may reach me at 949 -723 -8219.
