It was hard to lose the BGE's but we've come to accept they were a safety hazard to our family and others. We really appreciate the way the city has worked with us and I think the new trees will be beautiful. Thank you again to all for your professionalism and great rapport. Have a great Easter. Sincerely, Carol and Chris Rogers and kids Parks and Trees Superintendent Dan Serena recently acquired his Tree Risk Assessment certification through the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (PNW -ISA). During the 2 -day course, Dan was taught tree risk assessment for urban and urban/rural interface areas using the most current theory, practice, and technical concepts employed in arboriculture. Tree risk assessments assign numerical scores based on the size and health of a tree, as well as the hardscape or structures located nearby. The program sets the standard at a high level of competence to ensure those accredited are skilled and knowledgeable, are able to work safely, and are aware of their professional responsibilities. There are currently only 700 PNNV -1SA Certified Tree Risk Assessors in the nation. The attached Tree Activity Report summarizes requests and field activities performed during the past months.
