Re: FY 2015-2016 Proposed CIP Budget Highlights
The City of Newport Beach Capital Improvement Program (CIP) serves as a plan
for the provision of public improvements, special projects, on-going maintenance
programs, and the implementation of the City's master plans. Projects in the CIP
include improvements and major maintenance on arterial highways, local streets,
and alleys; storm drain and water quality improvements; harbor, bay, pier, and
beach improvements; park and facility improvements; water and wastewater
system upgrades; transportation safety and traffic signal improvements; and
planning programs and studies.
The total proposed CIP budget for the FY 2015-2016 is $ 66,660,490.
As requested by the Planning Commission, staff will provide a brief overview of
the proposed FY 2015-2016 Capital Improvement Program. The Planning
Commission is not tasked with providing comment or recommendation regarding
the CIP. This presentation is for informational purposes only.
The City Council has previously reviewed the CIP on April 14, 2015. The CIP is
scheduled for final adoption at the City Council meeting on May 26, 2015.
The full CIP Program can currently be viewed on the City website as part of the
City's comprehensive proposed budget.
