HomeMy WebLinkAbout17 - Annual Update to Fees and Charges - Public Hearing NoticeCITY OF NEWPORT BEACH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter as the matter shall be heard, a public hearing will be conducted in the Council Chambers at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach. The City Council of the City of Newport Beach will consider the following item: Approval of The Annual Update to Fees and Charges, Change in Subsidies, Library and Parking Fines, and Updated Language for Installation Fee — The City Council will consider the establishment of cost -of -services fees which include development review fees, an amendment to Newport Beach Municipal Code Section 3.36.030 and Section 14.10.010, as well as ratification of library fines and an update to parking fines. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that this action is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to Section 15060(c)(2) (the activity will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment) and 15060(c)(3) (the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378) of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it has no potential for resulting in physical change to the environment, directly or indirectly. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that on June 16, 2016, the Finance Committee of the City of Newport Beach recommended approval of the proposed changes in fees and charges to the City Council. All interested parties may appear and present testimony in regard to this item. If you challenge the Annual Update to Fees and Charges, Change in Subsidies, Library and Parking Fines, and Updated Language for Installation Fee in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City, at, or prior to, the public hearing. As required by Government Code Sections 66016 and 66018, prior to the public hearing data indicating the amount of estimated cost required to provide the services, which is the basis for the proposed fees, may be reviewed at the Revenue Division (Bay A, 1 st Floor) and City Clerk's Office (Bay E, 2nd Floor), 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach, California, 92660.
