CONSENT CALENDAR 1. Minutes of July 19, 2006 Motion: Acclamation Vote: Unanimous DISCUSSION ITEMS 1. "Greenlight II" Ballot Initiative — Assistant City Manager Sharon Wood gave the introduction to the "Greenlight II" report. • Table updated to include actual fees • Other costs updated • General election costs may be split • Cost of legal defense, $50,000 to $70,000 Motion made by Mr. Henn (McNamara second; unanimous vote in the affirmative) to send report to the City Council as revised: • Include legal cost on taking/damages • Add guidelines time as one-time costs • High/low on one-time costs 2. TOT Incentive Program — Crystal Cove Historic District • TOT sharing program to give 50% of collections to the foundation restoring Crystal Cove for 5 years. Motion by Mr. Marcheano (Beek second; unanimous vote in the affirmative) made to recommend to the Council that they not enter into the proposed agreement. • Request for information on cottage rates and occupancy, as they are available 3. EQAC Representative's Report Kenneth Drellishak reported the Newport Bay Marina project is being reviewed by an EQAC subcommittee.
