The Board of Trustees of the.city of Newport Beach met in adjourned
ses -sinn 230 P.M.Dec 14th,1914,
President Parkinson called the meeting to order and the roll was
called showing there were present trustees ',9.Y..Parkinson;S.l.Jumoer;
H.A.Robinson;C.H.:'Jay and G.P.'Nil:on.None absent.
Unfinished Business: - Resolution ordering the opening'of a stre
alonE the south side of the P.E.right of way from 23rd to 30th stree
was read for the first time and on motion of trustee C.H.'Way,seconde
b�. trustee S.R.Jumper.and carried was passed to - second reading.
Resolution of intention looking to the sidewalking of Sdrf Ave from
9th to Alvarado streets was read for the first time and on motion
of trustee C.H.;vay,seconded.by trustee S.R.Jumper and carried was
passed to second•readir_g.
Ordinance # establishing a license fee to be paid by vehicles
using. the streets of the city as public carriers,was read for the
first time and on motion of trustee C.H.` +a.y,seconded by trustee
S.R.Jumper,and carried was passed to second reading. .
Ordinance re,;uiating plumbing,house drainage etc was read for
the first time and on motion of trustee C.H.'7a.y,seconded by trustee
S.R.Jumper and carried.was passed to second reading. And was
referred to trustees H.A.Robinson,and S.R.Jumper and Plumbing
Inspector A.R.hott for invpection and suggestion as to any changes.
New Business: -The Tax - Collector having delivered and filed with the
Clerk a complete delinquent tax list mg gaturned assessment roll
and the same having; been carefully�rlu Ed Board of Trustees being
satisfied that it contains a full statement of all the taxes remainii
unpaid. The Tax - Collector was credited therewith and with all taxes
charged against him;and on motion of trustee C.H.'Nay,seconded by
_trustee H.A.Robinson and carried, the Clerk was ,directed to charge Si
Tax9Collector again with the amount og taxes due on delinquent tax
list;amounting to �2063.3C togather with 10 as penalty and arl
additional sum of fifty cents on each lot,piece or parcel of land
seperately assessed;and on each piece of personal property so
delinquent.
Moved by trustee G.P.''lilson,seconded. by trustee •.R.Jumper,and
carried that adjournment be taken to 230 P.M.December .21st,1914.
