I am requesting this modification, because providing a landing would encroach into the existing firelane, as shown in the attached exhibits, plans and photos. The proposed justification for this modification is that the existing enclosure and area of scope of work is for a non -occupied enclosure for use only by maintenance personnel. By not providing a landing, there are no life - safety risks to the building occupants in surrounding buildings. Furthermore, providing a code compliant landing would encroach into the existing firelane which may interfere with the Fire Department's ability to navigate a truck/apparatus through the existing area. Therefore, I am requesting the modification as the more suitable option to protect the health and safety of the users of the entire property. Thank you for your time and attention to this project.
