• State distributing vaccines to health care
agencies
• OC Health managing local effort
• Fire personnel vaccinated beginning Dec. 26
• NBFD and County fire depts. assisted with
setting up 3 County sites
• Irvine, Huntington Beach, Anaheim
• Paramedics,, EMTs begin trained to administer
• Phase 1A being vaccinated now
• Includes healthcare workers and 65+

Vaccination Next Steps
• County establishing SuperPODs (Points of
Distribution)
• Disneyland first SuperPOD (opening tomorrow)
• NBFD Fire and Lifeguards will continue to assist
• Will follow State and County priority guidance
• City will seek authorization to host community
clinics once PODS are established
• Register at othena.com
• Volunteers needed: Go to oneoc.org
COVID -19 Response Update
Cases and Hospitalizations
• Orange County nearing 200,000 cases
• Adding more than 3,,000 a day (30 -day avg.)
• ICUs at 0% capacity Countywide
• NBFD positive emergency transports increased
significantly in December with 72
• Previous high was July 2020 (19 transports)
• 30 so far in January
• NBFD received license to test City employees
under Cal/OSHA regulations
