HomeMy WebLinkAbout15 - City Council Policy G -Series Revisions (City Trees) Revisions - PowerPointCity Council Policy G-1, G-3, and G-6 Revisions ig%Nfol City Council Meeting January 12, 2021 Item 15 Level III Testing Considerations: • Can be required by Commission or performed by Staff for any instance already. • Considered when risk potential is in question. • Not on trees that are proposed by others (e.g. developers), which Staff has deemed healthy/stable. • Not on Dead or dying trees that have just been planted (e.g. a Dedicated Special Tree). • Not on imminent or City trees that have failed. • Trees removed in conjunction with a City Council -approved project (e.g. 15'"Street sidewalk installation). • Availability, timeframes, and frequency of testing. Removal of Special City Trees January 12, 2021 • Private property owners, residential communities, neighborhoods, or Item No. 15 business organizations who apple for a Special Tree removal(s) must submit a petition signed by a minimum of 60% of City of Newport Beach property owners within a radius of 500 feet from the location of the proposed tree removalf-1-%�a-r-ea-i razed.
