Accept the work. 2, Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. 3. Authorize the City Clerk to release the bonds 35 days after Notice of Completion has been filed. DISCUSSION: The contract for the widening of the Pacific Coast Highway at the Balboa Bay Club, Phase II has been completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. The bid price was: Amount of unit price items constructed: Amount of change orders: Total contract cost: Paid by Balboa Bay Club: Total contract cost to City: Amount budgeted in Account #02- 3397 -188 $ 8,754,00 7,612 89 -0- 7,612�89 2,033 08 5,57981 $12,000,00 The final contract cost was less than estimated due to the deletion of a portion of the sidewalk and street lighting conduit at the request of the State Division of Highways. When the Bay Club wall is extended in the future, this sidewalk and conduit will be constructed. The Bay Club paid for the cost of the curb and gutter and side- walk. The contractor is Lynam -Wood Construction Company of Corona del Mar, California. Engineering was by Raub, Bein, Frost and Associates of Costa Mesa, California. The contract date of completion was October 11, 1968.
