Re: Assessment District No. 51
(Alleys and Streets)
In Connection with Assessment District No. 51, (Alleys and Streets) upon
which we will perform all the assessment engineering services pursuant to
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, State of California, the
undersigned presents a proposal to render the special assessment engineer-
ing services in connection therewith, as follows:
A. The City of Newport Beach to do and /or to furnish:
1. Maps, plats, assessment diagrams, as may be required;
2. Construction costs, incidental expenses and other data.
B. The undersigned will render the following services:
1. Pursuant to Division 7 (Improvement Act of 1911):
(a) Confer with the city staff as may be required;
(b) Make field inspections of the properties of the district;
(c) Make field survey of improvements when completed;
(d) Confer with City Engineer on Assessment Diagram;
(e) Confer with City Attorney when necessary;
(f) Assist City Engineer on preparation of final construction
costs and incidental expenses;
(g) Prepare all legals on properties within the district for the
Assessment Rolls;
(h) Check same legals with title company for verification;
(i) Prepare assessment spread;
(j) Prepare assessment diagram and assessment rolls for filing;
(k) Attend all hearings before the City Council;

(1) Support assessment at time of hearing;
(m) Check on execution of signatures and dates on rolls and filing
of map with County Recorder;
(n) When collection period is over, Supervise the preparation of
Bonds and Bond Register;
(0) Supervise the ordering of all statements for the ten year period
on all Bonds issued;
(p) Be available to the City Staff for consultation on this project;
C. The total compensation to be paid for all services rendered in this
proposal shall be calculated at Three Percent (3 %) of the total
project cost (excluding assessment engineering fee) as set forth in
the assessment roll above referred to, and shall be due and payable
as follows:
1. The above compensation shall be due and payable upon confirmation
of the assessment and recordation thereof.
