AGREEMENT
FOR EMPLOYMENT OF Cam% 3�7
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT l
THIS AGREEMENT, made by and between the CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City ",
and HARVEY L. HURLBURT, hereinafter referred to as "Consultant ";
RECITALS:
City is in the process of recruiting for a City Manager.
Consultant has offered to furnish management consultant services
to City on an interim basis to assist the Acting City Manager.
Consultant is well qualified to provide said services by virtue
of his prior service as City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
1. Consultant agrees to furnish City with full time
management consultant services during the period commencing on
April 5, 1971, and terminating on May 21, 1971.
2. Consultant will furnish such services as may be
requested by the Acting City Manager.
3. Consultant will be compensated by the equivalent of
an annual salary of $28,000.00. Consultant will be a regular
employee of the City during the period of his employment pursuant
to this agreement, and shall continue to receive all fringe
benefits which he received as City Manager.
4. Consultant may terminate his services pursuant to
this agreement upon 24 hours' notice to the Acting City Manager.
If Consultant elects to terminate this agreement, his compensation
shall cease upon termination.
