THIS AGREE4.ZNT, made and entered into this / Z. day of
1971, by and between the County of Orange, hereinafter
referred to as COUNTY, and the City of Newport Beach, hereinafter referred to as CITY,
RECITAIS:
WHEREAS: COUNTY and CITY on July 12, 1960, entered into an agreement wherein
COUNTY would provide to CITY at CITY's expense and upon CITY's request certain soil
testing services.
WHEREAS: Said agreement expires June 30, 1971.

WHEREAS: CITY desires to extend said agreement and COUNTY is willing to provide
said services.
NOW THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties hereto as follows:
1. That that certain agreement for Soil Tests and Material Control Tests
between COUNTY and CITY dated July 12, 1960, be and is hereby extended for a five
year term commencing July 1, 1971, and ending June 30, 1976, upon the same terms and
conditions as in said agreement specified, terminable upon thirty (30) days written
notice by either party.

IN RE: AGREF14ENT SOIL TESTS AND MATERIAL CONTROL TESTS
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
On motion of Supervisor Caspers, duly seconded and unanimously
carried by Board members present, the Vice - Chairman is authorized to
sign the Agreement dated August 17, 1971, between the County of Orange
and the City of Newport Beach, extending the agreement dated July 12,
1960, which provides for soil tests and material control tests, for a
five year term commencing July 1, 1971.
IN RE: AGREEMENT SOIL TESTS AND MATERIAL CONTROL TESTS
CITY OF SANTA ANA
On motion of Supervisor Caspers, duly seconded and unanimously
carried by Board members present, the Vice - Chairman is authorized to
sign the Agreement dated August 17, 1971, between the County of Orange
and the City of Santa Ana, extending the agreement dated July 5, 1050,
which provides for soil tests and material. control tests, for a five
year term commencing July 11 1971.
IN RE: AGREEMENT ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS ON GARDEN GROVE BOULEVARD
CITY OF SANTA ANA
On motion of Supervisor Phillips, duly seconded and unanimou
carried by Board members present, the Vice- Chairman and the Clerk are
authorized to sign the Agreement dated August 17, 1971, between the
County of Orange and the City of Santa Ana for reimbursement to the
County of Orange for roadway improvements on Garden Grove Boulevard
between Bristol Street and the Santa Ana River lying within the city
limits of Santa Ana, as recommended by the Road Commissioner and County
Surveyor in his letter dated August 10, 1971.

County and the City of Newport Beach for Soil Tests and
Material Control Tests for approval by the Board of Supervisors.
This agreement was authorized by the adoption of Resolution
No. 7498 by the City Council.

files.

The current agreement between the City of Newport Beach and the County
of Orange for Soil Tests and Material Control Tests will expire June 30,
1971.
If you desire to continue this agreement through Fiscal Year 1975 -76,
please execute and return the enclosed agreement for extension of ser-
vices.
Six (6) copies of the Agreement are enclosed and after signing should be
returned to this department for farther processing before the expiration
of the current agreement. After approval by the Board of Supervisors,
one fully executed copy of the Agreement will be forwarde- to your office.
