AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this ly Ty
day of FEHRUH K\ , 1972, by and between the RANCHO SANTIAGO
COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT, hereinafter referred to as
"District ", and the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, hereinafter referred
to as "'City ":
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, in connection with training City of Newport
Beach Fire Department personnel, City maintains and conducts
training facilities and programs at various locations in the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, District will be commencing fire training
classes in the Fire Science Academy at the Santa Ana College on
February 14, 1972, and has requested permission to use certain
fire training facilities and to participate in fire training
programs in the City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Commencing February 14, 1972, City hereby agrees to
allow District to use its fire training facilities and to
participate in fire training programs at various locations in
the City of Newport Beach;
2. District agrees to indemnify, defend and hold City
harmless from all demands, claims, liahility or judgments or
damages arising out of or resulting from injury or death to
persons or damage to property, regardless of responsibility or
negligence caused by, or growing out of, or occurring in
connection with the use of any of the said fire training facilities

or participation in fire training programs, by any enrollees or
instructors of the fire training classes being conducted by
District, or any of its agents or employees.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed
this agreement as of the day and year first above written.
