EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT / /
(Marinapark Manager) (� /S 7
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day
of SU2'E , 1972, by and between the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "CITY ", and
NORBERT REINHART, hereinafter referred to as "REINHART ":
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Marinapark is owned and operated as a trailer
park by the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the services of a manager are required to
supervise the management and maintenance of the facility as well
as the collection of rents at Marinapark; and
WHEREAS, City has determined that Reinhart is well
qualified to perform such services; and
WHEREAS, City desires to retain Reinhart as the Marina-
park manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF these premises, it
is mutually agreed by and between the parties as follows:
1. City hereby retains and employs Reinhart to act as
Marinapark manager;
2. Reinhart agrees to supervise the management and
maintenance of Marinapark in an efficient manner, collecting
rents, keeping accurate records, supervising maintenance gardeners,
making or suggesting improvements where possible with the best
interests of the City in mind, and reporting periodically to the
City Manager;
3. Reinhart agrees to make necessary repairs or call
specialized help in an emergency on a 24 -hour basis;
4. City agrees to compensate Reinhart at Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00) per month for a 40 -hour work week, plus Reinhart

will be allowed to reside in the City -owned trailer located at
Marinapark, free of rent;
5. City shall permit Reinhart to take outside
employment to compensate for an agreed salary reduction;
6. Reinhart shall be permitted to take a two -week
vacation and during his absence Marinapark shall be adequately
covered by an attendant; attendant shall also cover for Reinhart
two days each week, keeping the regular office hours; regular
office hours shall be from 8:00 a.m, to 5:00 p.m. and shall be
covered by Reinhart or his wife on all but two days each week.
7. Reinhart and his wife shall be covered by health
insurance on the same basis as other City employees, and Reinhart
agrees to have the amount of the premium deducted from his salary.
8. Both parties to this agreement reserve the right
to terminate this agreement upon 90 days' prior written notice.
9. This agreement shall become effective on the 1st
day of July, 1972.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
agreement on the date first above written.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AND NORBERT REINHART FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF
MARINAPARK
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain contract between the City
of Newport Beach and Norbert Reinhart for the general management
of Marinapark; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and
equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said agreement for the services
above described is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach.
