The channel located at Balboa Island between the main island and that easterly portion cal..le,1 "Little" island in P?ewport'Ray, as shown on attached Exhibit "A ", has 'become filled with gilt to the extent that the navigability of the channel has been impaired. In addition, sand from the belches adjacent to the channel. has been eroded away, resulting i.n a diminution of the utility of the beach for public use and as prot.ecc.ion of the toe of the bullhead walls. '17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR THE DREDGING OF GRAND CANAL WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain reimbursement agreement between the City of Newport Beach and the County of Orange for the dredging of Grand Canal; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and equitable; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement for the services above described is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
