WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors, by Resolution No. 72 -808 dated July 18, 1972, declared its intention to create a County -wide Transportation Study Committee, and WHEREAS, the State Legislature, by enactment of Assembly Bill 69, has required the preparation and adoption of a California Transportation Plaq, and WHEREAS, COUNTY recognizes that a County -wide Transportation Study is necessary to provide needed input to the California Transportation Plan, and WHEREAS, CITY has undertaken a comprehensive transportation study consisting of three phases, of which Phases I and II have been completed, and WHEREAS, COUNTY and CITY agree that information developed from CITY's study will be important to the proposed Coastal- Corridor Study, and WHEREAS, COUNTY has offered to participate on a financial basis with CITY for the completion of Phase III of the CITY's transportation study. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by the parties hereto as follows: I. CITY shall make available, upon request, to COUNTY for COUNTY's use in the proposed Coastal- Corridor Study, all data, research information, and results of CITY's transportation study, including all data gathered for Phase I and Phase II. II. COUNTY shall, in return for the information listed in Section I, pay to CITY the CITY's consulting engineering costs for preparation of Phase III of CITY's transportation study. Said consulting engineering costs for Phase III are presently estimated to be $22,000. -1- 373 -484 III. Within thirty (30) days after the receipt of the resort for Phase III by the City Council, CITY shall submit full true and ccrrect copies of documents, certificates and itemized bills to COUNTY. COUNTY shall reimburse CITY within thirty (30) days upon submission of such cost. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, CITY has caused this agreement to be executed by its Mayor and attested by its Clerk and COUNTY has caused this agreement to be executed by the Chairman of its Board of Supervisors and attested by its Clerk, all thereunto duly authorized by the City Council and the Board of Supervisors. L".m Lmgios City Clark LL:swk RESOLUTION NO. 7968 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR PHASE III OF THE TRANSPORTATION STUDY WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain reimbursement agreement between the City of Newport Beach and the County of Orange for Phase III of the Transportation Study; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and equitable; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement for the services above described is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
