Dear Permitee:
The above referenced permit will expire within the next 30 days in accordance with {Section 7-1-820 of the Orange
County Grading and Excavation Code}. Renewal of this permit is necessary to obtain all required inspection of
any remaining grading-related work. Renewals can be granted for one year extensions, however, lack of standard
progress could jeopardize the approval. This permit can not be finaled nor will any posted financial assurances
be released until all phases of the grading are properly inspected and approved. This final will also be needed
to obtain use and occupancy for any building (if applicable).
Therefore, due to the age of this permit and/or lack of activity on same, the permit will become null and void
as stipulated in Section 7-1-19, Sec. 303(d) of the County of Orange. (Reference UBC Sec. 106.4.4)
If you plan to renew this permit within the next 12 months, you have two available options:
1. Provide this office with a letter requesting a renewal, stating your intent to complete the remaining grading
work. The letter should include a time table and a target completion date reflecting the remaining scope of work.
This office will review your schedule and determine if any additional permit fees are needed to complete the project.
The permit will be renewed if the schedule is deemed reasonable, all appropriate permit deposit fees are posted,
and any required financial assurance is posted. OR
2. Send a letter stating you intent to renew in the near future and request that your file be placed on hold for
up to 12 months. If not renewed within those 12 months, the permit file will be sent for microfilming. Attempts
to renew will entail a new permit.
If we do not hear from you within ten (10) working days from the date on this letter, your permit file will automatically
be sent for microfilming and the originals destroyed. You will then be required to apply and obtain a new permit
if the project becomes active again.
If you do not foresee renewal of this permit within the next 12 months, all you need to do is ignore this letter
and let the two weeks lapse; at that time we will follow the procedure outlined above. If you desire to retrieve
any of the original documents or reports prior to being microfilmed and destroyed, please contact me at (949)
472-7951 within ten (10) working days from the date on this letter.
