Subject: City of Newport Beach LCP Amendment No. LC2019-008 (LCP-5-NPB-20-
0025-1, Part C) related to Accessory Dwelling Units
Dear Amrita,
On February 22, 2022, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach introduced
Ordinance No. 2022-6 approving LCP Amendment No. LC2019-008 (LCP-5-NPB-20-
0025-1, Part C). The City Council is conducting second reading of the ordinance on March
8, 2022. The ordinance accepts and incorporates all of the Coastal Commission's
suggested modifications. We request that a determination by the Executive Director of
the Coastal Commission that this action is legally adequate to satisfy the specific
requirements of Coastal Commission's December 15, 2021, action on this amendment.
