professional landscape design services.
(2) The landscape project for the property located at

(3) The landscaping for the identified property has been installed in substantial
conformance with the approved Landscape Documentation Package and complies with
the requirements of the City of Newport Beach Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance
(Municipal Code Section 14.17) and the City of Newport Beach Standards for
Implementation of the City of Newport Beach Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance for
the efficient use of water in the landscape.
(4) The following elements are attached hereto
a. Irrigation scheduling parameters used to set the controller;
b. Landscape and irrigation maintenance schedule;
c. Irrigation audit report; and
d. Soil analysis report, if not submitted with Landscape Documentation Package,
and documentation verifying implementation of the soil report
recommendations-
(5) The site installation complies with the following:
a. The required irrigation system has been installed according to approved plans
and specifications and if applicable, any prior approved irrigation system
alternatives.

The purpose of the irrigation audit is to evaluate the installation and performance of the newly installed
irrigation system with respect to its efficient application of water as a condition for final building
permits.
The irrigation system was designed by Seed Group, Torrance California under Registered Landscape
Architect Arthur Alaniz, RLA 5554. Plans and detail drawings dated Nov 2021 were provided for use
during the audit.
The irrigation system was observed on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. The general contractor was present
during the audit.
The weather during the audit was 68 degrees, sunny, and no wind.

A new Rain Bird ESP-ME3, 10 station conventional controller was selected for the residence. The
Irrigation controller was mounted outside the residence by the pool equipment.

The Contractor installed a RP backflow device (Febco 825Y) at irrigation point of connection.
Smart Irrigation Controller:
The Contractor installed the Rain Bird LNK2WIFI smart irrigation module.

The Contractor installed the Rain Bird WR2-48 rain sensor.

Front Yard Landscape and Irrigation:
The front yard landscape has been converted to artificial turf and low water use shrubs with drip
irrigation per the approved landscape plans.

The installed irrigation system meets standard irrigation practices for residential irrigation systems. The
contractor will coordinate with the owner to input the maturity irrigation schedules into the irrigation
controller.
