Dear Mr. Calacci:
Per you request received by our department on December 10, 2015, this letter shall confirm
the assignment of 301 Diamond Avenue for the new single-family residence and replacing
the prior address assignments of 747 and 749 Balboa Avenue for this property. The 301
Diamond Avenue address will remain as the address since the newly constructed residence
now faces Diamond Avenue.
We will advise City departments; however, it will be your responsibility to inform all other
affected agencies, such as the U. S. Postal Service, Orange County Assessor, utilities, etc.
Please be sure to notify your local telephone service carrier so that responses to any “9-1-1”
emergency calls are dispatched to a valid address.
The address numbers should be at least four inches high, of contrasting color to their
background, and clearly visible from the street.

Hi Makana,
Thank you for your time and help earlier today. I was the one with the question about changing the address of a
property we are building for a client of ours.
The plans say 747 Balboa so I would use that address to find it in your system. The homeowner would like to
capture the 301 Diamond address instead.
1. My relationship to the homeowner:
I work for the general contractor (Waterpointe Custom Home Builders) and the homeowner asked that we help
him facilitate the change.
2. Contact mailing address for homeowner:

Newport Beach, CA 92660
3. Request and Reason: The request is to change the home address from 747 Balboa to 301 Diamond Avenue.
The home is still under construction. The reason was not fully disclosed to me. I would guess it is just a
preference of his but that is just a guess.
4. Existing Address:
On the approved set of plans the address is 747 Balboa
5. Proposed Address:
301 Diamond Avenue
