Introduction
The purpose of the irrigation audit is to evaluate the installation and performance of the newly installed
irrigation system with respect to its efficient application of water as a condition for final building
permits.
The irrigation system was designed by DWLA, Irvine California under Registered Landscape Architect
Dale Waldo, RLA 2528. Plans and detail drawings dated February 2021 were provided for use during the
audit.
The irrigation system was observed on Thursday, March 30, 2023. The landscape contractor was
present during the audit.
The weather during the audit was 61 degrees, cloudy, and mild wind.

Irrigation Audit
Controller
A new Rain Bird ESP-ME3, 16 station smart conventional controller was selected for the residence. The
Irrigation controller was mounted outside the residence by the pool equipment with rain sensor
installed.

Irrigation Observation
The irrigation system was observed to have the following changes:

It is recommended to install waterproof wire connectors on all wire connections. It is recommended to
brand valve boxes.

Conclusion
The installed irrigation system meets standard irrigation practices for residential irrigation systems. The
contractor will coordinate with the owner to input the maturity irrigation schedules into the irrigation
controller.
