EQUIPMENT
1. On site, as requested, to observe pool bottom excavation. The pool bottoms were deepened through th
fill and into competent bedrock. Bedrock structure was observed dipping slightly into the hillside.
The bottom of the pool shell ranged from 8 to 8.5-feet below existing site grades and a key was excavate(
along the entire slopeward side of the pool to total depths of 12.5 to 13.5-feet below existing site grades.
The slope setback was achieved with the key at the bottom of the slopeward side of the pool.
2. The pool excavation is suitable for the placement of steel and concrete. It was discussed that, in lieu of
slurry placement up to the bottom of the pool shell, the entire void would be filled with concrete. If
considered necessary. any additional rebar recommendations should be addressed by the structural
