SUBJECT: RESULTS OF ACOUSTICAL CERTIFICATION MEASUREMENT
FOR 1419 DOLPHIN TERRACE -- CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
Dear Mr. Hopper:
We are pleased to inform you that the pool equipment installation located at 1419
Dolphin Terrace in the City of Newport Beach complies with the City's 55 dBA noise limit. No
additional noise mitigation is necessary.
The installation was measured on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, using a Larson Davis
Model 700 Type 2 Sound Level Meter. The installation was observed to consist of one Pentair
Intelliflo pump, one Pentair Whisperflo pump and a MasterTemp 40OHD heater, all located in a
recessed alcove. The measurement microphone was placed just in the plane of the property line
wrought iron fence nearest the pool equipment. The measurement reported a pool equipment
noise level between 54 dBA for both pumps and the heater unit operating simultaneously. This
level complies with the City's 55 dBA noise limit.
