Observation and verification of the following work:
Epoxy set horizontal rebar dowels/retro-fit all thread rod for new AB's and HDU2 hold downs
NEW TO EXISTING FOOTING CONNECTIONS:
(2) #4 horizontal rebar dowels installed T & B at w/min 6" embedment holes drilled angled down into
existing exterior/interior footings at new to existing footing connections.
(5 locations, 20 dowels total) See detail 10/SD1
NEW INTERIOR FOOTING/GRADE BEAM FOUNDATION PAD & PLUMBING/UTILITY TRENCHES:
#4 horizontal rebar dowels installed 16"oc staggered both sides of trench w/ min 4" embedment into interior
foundation slab on grade. (44 dowels total) See detail 10/SD1
RETRO-FIT ANCHOR BOLTS:
5/8" 0 retro fit all thread rod anchor bolts installed w/ min 8" embedment into existing footings at garage
exterior stem wall footings and existing interior/exterior footings at house at shear wall /9,10,12\ plate
breaks, missing bolts, misc locations etc. (32 anchor bolts total) see detail 4/SD1
ADDED HDU2 HOLD DOWNS:
5/8" 0 retro fit all thread rod for new HTT5 hold downs installed w/ min 12 1/2" embedment into existing
Exterior/interior footings ay shear wall /9,10,12\ locations. (6 HDU2's total) See detail 3/SD1
All work done in accordance with City of Newport Beach Building Department approved construction plans,
ICC Evaluation Service Reports 2508, ASTM C172/C31,AC1 318-5.6, 5.8, 5.9, 5.10, and CBC
,ArfinnG1903/1704.4. 2304.9.5.1-2304.9.5.4, 2304.9.2
Holes were drilled to the required diameter and embedment depth, holes were blown out at 'i uz psi,
brushed out, and then blown out again at 99 psi prior to epoxy application.
All rebar dowels and retro-fit all thread rods were inserted into epoxy filled holes and rotated 1/2 turn at time
of installation.
SET-XP was used. No problems noted at time of inspection.
