SUBJECT: RESULTS OF ACOUSTICAL CERTIFICATION MEASURE'MENT
FOR 220 JASMINE AVENUE -- CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
Dear Mr. Steele:
We are pleased to inform you that the pool equipment installation located at 220 Jasmine
Avenue in the City of Newport Beach complies with the City's 55 dBA noise limit. No
additional noise mitigation is necessary.
The installation was measured on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, using a Larson Davis Model
700 Type 2 Sound Level Meter. The installation was observed to consist of a single Pentair
Intelliflo pump located in a side yard setback. The measurement microphone was placed just
beyond the top of the nearest property line wood fence in the corner of the adjacent rear yard
nearest the pool equipment. The measurement reported a level of 46 dBA for the operating
pump. This level easily complies with the City's 55 dBA noise limit.
