ORDINANCE NO. 508
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING
THE WIDENING OF CENTRAL
AVENUE BETWEEN MCFAD-
DEN PLACE AND "B" STREET
IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, AS CONTEM-
PLATED BY ORDINANCE OF
INTENTION NO. 503 OF SAID
CITY.
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the public in-
terest and convenience require and
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby orders the
following improvement to be made,
to -wit: that Central Avenue, a pub-
lic street in the City of Newport
Beach, be widened between McFad-
den Place and "B" Street, in the
manner contemplated by Ordinance
of Intention No. 503 Of said City,
approved the 20th day of October,
1941, to which said ordinance ref-
erence is hereby made for all par-
ticulars regarding said improve-
ment.
SECTION 2. That the City At-
torney of the City of Newport
Beach is hereby authorized, direct-
ed and Instructed to bring an action
in the name of the City of New-
port Beach, in the Superior Court
of the .State of California, in and
for the County of Orange, for the
condemnation of the Mal property
described in Ordinance of Intention
No. 503 hereinbefore referred to,
and necessary and convenient to
be taken for the improvement
therein, and in 'Section 1 hereof,
mentioned, against all of the own-
ers and claimants of said property
or any part thereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall
be published once in the NEW-
PORT- BALBOA PRESS, a Weekly
newipaper printed, published and
circulated in the City of Newport
Beach.
The foregoing Ordinance was in-
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the. City of
Newport Beach held on the 1st day
of December, 1941, and was finally
passed and adopted by said City
Council at an adjourned regular
meeting thereof held -on the 15th
day of December, .1941, by,-the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Reed,
Claire, Allen, Brown, Gordon.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None.
