ORDINANCE NO. 612
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTIONS 6400 TO 6422 IN-
CLUSIVE, OF THE MUNICI-
PAL C O D E SUBSTITUTING
T H E CITY AUDITOR F O R
THE CITY CLERK IN PER-
FORMING DUTIES RELAT-
ING TO THE ADMINISTRA-
TION OF THE SALES AND
USE TAX.
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Sections 6400 to
6422, inclusive, of the Municipal
Code of the C i t y of Newport
Beach a r e hereby amended by
eliminating from said Sections
6400 to 6422, inclusive, the words,
"City Clerk" wherever the same
appears therein and inserting in
lieu thereof the words, "City
Auditor."
SECTION 2: This ordinance
shall be published at least once
in the Newport- Balboa Press, a
newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and shall be
in force and effect thirty (30)
days after the final passage
thereof.
The above and foregoing ordi-
nance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach held
on the 28th d a y of November,
1949, and was finally passed and
adopted on the 12th day of Decem-
ber, 1949, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Greeley,
Robertson, Isbell, Blue, Drake
NOES, COUNCILMEN None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN None
DICK DRAKE
