ORDINANCE No. 644
-AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 7211, ESTABLISH-
ING WATER RATES
The City Council of the City of
,Newport Beach does ordain as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1: Section 7211 of
.the Municipal Code is hereby
emended to read as follows:
"Meter Rates. Where water is
furnished through a meter for do=
mestic use and all business pur-
poses other than agricultural, the
monthly rate for the period from
September 15, 1951 to and includ-
ing July 15, 1952 for water con-
sumed shall be as follows:
For % -inch meters, first 700
feet or less ........................$2.80
For 3/4 -inch meters, first 700
feet or less ........................$2.80
For 1 -inch meters, first 1000
feet or less ........................$3.16
For 1% -inch meters, first 1300
feet or less ........................$3.52
For 2 -inch meters, first 1600
feet or less ........................$3.88
For 3 -inch meters, first 1800
feet or less ........................$4.12
For each additional 100 cu.
feet.. .................................. $0.12
and for the period commencing
July 15, 1952 and thereafter, the
monthly rate for water consumed
shall be as follows:
For % -inch meters, first 700
feet or less ........................$1.80
For 3/4 -inch meters, first 700
feet or less ........................$1.80
For 1 -inch meters, first 1000
feet or less .........................$2.16
For 1Y. -inch meters, first 1300
feet or less ........................$2.52
For 2 -inch meters, first 1600
feet or less ........................$2.88
For 3 -inch meters, first 1800
feet or less ........................$3.12
For each additional 100 cu.
feet........... ..........................$0.12
SECTION 2: This ordinance
shall be published at least once in
the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach and shall take
effect 30 days after its final pas-
sage.
The foregoing ordinance was in.
troduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 9th
day of July, 1951, and was finally
passed and adopted on the 23rd
day of July, 1951, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN:
Finch, Ramsey, Greeley,
Blue, Isbell
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
