SECTION 1. Chapter 3 of
Article VIII of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code A hereby i
repealed.
SECTION 2. A new Chapter 3:
of Article VIII is added to the
Newport Beach Municipal Code
to read:
"Chapter 1
ELECTRICAL CODE
SECTION 8300. Purpo,e
The purpose of this Chapter is
to establish an Electrical Code I
of the City of Newport Beach
to provide minimum standards_.
to safeguard life, health, prop -
erty, and public Welfare by
regulating and controlling toe
construction and maintenance
of electical installatlona and
wiring in the City.
SECTION 8801. Prohibf

construct, alter or repair, any
electrical installation or Wiring

complying with all provisions
