TION TO THE CITY OF

"ANNEXATION NO. 50"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the
provisions of an act of the Legis-
lature of the State of California,
known as the "Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939 ", the City of Newport
Reach instituted proceedings for
the annexation of certain unin-
habited territory contiguous to
the City. of Newport Beach and
designated as "Annexatipn'No.
50 ", and which is hereinafter
more particularly described; and {
WHEREAS, the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach
,has determined in accordance
with the Annexation of Uninhab-
ited Territory Act of 1939 the
ownership of the property in the
aforesaid territory proposed to
Ibe annexed; and
WHEREAS, the . owners of
more than two - thirds of the
value of the.property In the said
territory have filed written con-
sent with the City Clerk of the
City of Newport Beach prior to
the adoption of this ordinance,
whereby consent was given to the
annexation of said, Annexation
No. 50 to the City of Newport
Beach and that the property in ;
said territory be subjected to 1
'taxation after annexation equal -
11y with property in the City of
Newport Reach to pay any in-
debtedness and liabilities of the
City of Newport Beach outstand. j
ing, contracted, authorized, or
i existing prior to or at the time !
of annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council,
by the adoption of a resolution'
within ten days after the hear
ing on protests to the annexation
was finally adjourned, has found
and declared that a majority pro-
d test to the annexation was not
made; and
i WHEREAS, it appears that
the necessary proceedings relat-
ing to annexation have been
conducted strictly In accordance
with the law;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City
Council' of the City of Newport
Beach does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The annexation to
the City of Newport Beach, Cali-
fornia, of that certain uninhabit-
ed territory contiguous to said
city, known as "Annexation No.
50 ", 1s hereby approved, and the ,
same is hereby ordained to be
annexed to and made a part of
the City of Newport Beach, Cali-
fornia. Said territory is particu-
larly described ae follows:
Portions of Blocks 53, 54, 55,
56, 929 93 and 94 of Irvine's
Subdivision as said subdivi-
sion is shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 19
page 88 of Miscellaneous i
Maps, records of Orange
County, California, more
particularly described as fol-
