ORDINANCE NO. 1184
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING
SECTIONS 140240110 AND 14.24J20 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SEWER CONNECTIONS OUTSIDE
OF CITY
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows;
SECTION 1. Section 140240110 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read-
111.4024,110 Permit Conditions for Connection Outside
of City'. No permit a- uthorizng the connection of propert;
outside of the City with the City Sewer System shall be
granted for a period exceeding one year, unless the owner
or owners of the property enter into a written agreement
for the annexation to the City, within a definite period
of time, of the property to be served, and any such per-
mit shall set forth such conditions and terms as the City
Council may impose."
SECTION 2, Section 14.24,120 of the Newport -Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read-
"14,24,120 Consent Discretionary for Connection. Outside
Of CitCitya N® provisions o. this Chapter shall e construe to
mea— n that the City shall be required at any time to give its
consent, written or otherwise, to the use of the Sewer System
for property outside the corporate limits of the Cite Any
permit granted hereunder, except as may be otherwise provided
by written agreement with the City, s'ha'll be revocable at any
time upon giving a thirty days' written notice to the permit. -

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
