ORDINANCE NO. 1226
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REZONING
PROPERTY AND AMENDING DISTRICT MAP NO. 4
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to
wit:
That portion of lots 4 and 5 of Tract No. 1117 as per map
recorded in book 35 page 48 of Miscellaneous Maps,
in the office of the county recorder of said county, together
with a portion of the 20,00 foot alley adjoining said lots 4
and 5 as abandoned by resolution of the city council of
Newport Beach, on February 4, 1946, a certified copy of
said resolution being recorded March 11, 1946 in book 1400
page 189, Official Records, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of said
20.00 foot alley with the easterly prolongation of the
southerly line of said lot 5; thence South 890 158 30"
West along said prolongation and said southerly line of lot
5 a distance of 108.40 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave northeasterly and having a radius of 1000
feet; thence westerly and northerly along said curve through
a central angle of 90 , a distance of 15.71 feet; thence
• tangent to said curve North 0® 448 30" West along the westerly
line of said lot 5 and its northerly prolongation 226.93
feet to the westerly corner of said lot 4, said corner
being the southerly terminus of that certain course in the
westerly line of said lot 4 having a bearing and distance
of North 00 448 30" West 149.43 feet; thence North 0® 448 30"
West along said westerly line 28.91 feet; thence North 62®
308 00" East 105.11 feet to the easterly line of said lot
4; thence South 270 308 East along said easterly line of
lot 4, a distance of.160.00 feet to the easterly corner of
said lot 4; thence South 62® 308 West along the southeasterly
line of said lot 4 and the southwesterly prolongation thereof,
a distance of 100.00 feet to the center line of said
20000 foot alley; thence South 2781 308 East along said center
line to an angle point; thence South 0® 448 30" East along
said center line 42.38 feet to the point of beginning,
as shown on District Map No. 4 referred to in Section 20.06.030
of Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is hereby rezoned
from w Cml -H District to a C -O -H District, and said District Map
No. 4 is hereby amended to show this zoning change.
SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of New-
port Beach is hereby instructed and directed to change District
• Map No. 4 so as to show the zoning change described in Section 1

hereof, and, as said District Map shall have been so amended,
the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of Title
20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective 30
days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 14th day
of August , 1967, and was adopted on the 28th day
of August , 1967, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Marshall,
Gruber, Forgit, Shelton
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Parsons, Cook
