HomeMy WebLinkAbout1250 - Coin MachinesTHSemec 5/10/68 NO. 1250 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTION 5.08.055 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO COIN MACHINES The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 5.08.055 is added to the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read- "5.08.055 Coin Machines. Every person engaging in, managing on ucting or carrying on the business of leasing, renting, or maintaining any coin - operated vending or personal service machine or device, not otherwise licensed under this Title and not prohibited by law, shall pay an annual license fee on the basis of the following schedule: (a) For each personal service machine, such as washing, dry - cleaning, and drying machines .......... $ 6.00 (b) For all other machines or devices: For each machine or device charging 1i to and including 4¢ 2.00 • For each machine or device charging 5¢ to and including 9¢ .. ............... 6.00 For each machine or device charging INand over ............................. 12.00 For music machines, such as juke boxes ... 12.00" SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effec- tive 30 days after the date of its adoption. This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 13th day of T1ay , 1968, and was adopted on the 27th day of Mast , 1968, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN- Vxlinis9 Shelton, Parso;RS, Mam -hall, Pogess, Hirth NOES, COUNCILMEN; n'ona ATT �ST: ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Gruber a-z (7ty c Mayor
