ORDINANCE NO. 1 2 7 0
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH REZONING
PROPERTY AND AMENDING DISTRICT MAP NO. 29
• The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property in
the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
to wit:
That portion of Lots 318 and 328, Newport Heights Tract,
in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California as shown on a map recorded in Book 4, Page 83
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of 23rd Street,
60.00 feet wide, said point being the Northerly corner
of said Lot 328; thence, along the Northwesterly line
of Lots 328 and 318 of said tract, South 40° 00' 00"
West 609.00 feet to the most Northerly corner of Tract
No. 2513 as shown on a map recorded in Book 110, Pages
11 and 12, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
State of California; thence South 490 59' 41" East
492.32 feet along the Northeasterly line of said
Tract No. 2513 and the Southeasterly prolongation there-
of to the intersection with the centerline of Irvine
Avenue 100.00 feet wide as described in an Easement
Deed dated May 16, 1968 and recorded in Book 8603,
Page 885 Official Records of Orange County, said
intersection point being a point on a curve concave
Westerly, whose radius is 490.00 feet and whose radial
to said point bears North 790 30' 14" East; thence
along said centerline of Irvine Avenue Northerly, 27.16
feet along the are of said curve through a central
angle of 3® 10' 33 "; thence, tangent to said curve,
North 13° 40' 19" West 110.24 to the beginning of a
tangent curve, concave Easterly, whose radius is 550.00
feet; thence, Northerly 515.16 feet along the arc of
said curve through a central angle of 53® 39' 59";
thence North 390 59' 40" East 84.00 feet to the
Northerly line of said Lot 328 being the centerline
intersection of Irvine Avenue and said 23rd Street;
thence North 49 °.59' 56" West, 157.90 feet along the
centerline of said 23rd.Street and the Northeasterly
line of said Lot 328 to the point of beginning.
Note - In describing this parcel the centerline of
23rd Street was assumed to be coincidental to the
Northeasterly line of Lot 328.
Containing 3.419 acres
• as shown on District Map No. 29, referred to in Section 20.06.030
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code and made a part of Title 20 of
said Code, is hereby rezoned from an Unclassified District to an
R -1 -B District, and said District Map No. 29 is hereby amended to
show this zoning change.
SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Newport
Beach is hereby instructed and directed to change District Map
same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of Title 20
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 19 tk
day of q a.s f , 1968, and was adopted on the
day of ,Sent ..,1 r 1968, by the following vote, to wit:

District Map shall

amended, the
same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of Title 20
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its adoption.
