ORDINANCE NO. 1315
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 3.22.050 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO EXEMPTION
OF GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES FROM REAL PROPERTY
TRANSFER TAX
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3.22.050 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read.
"3.22.050 Exemption -- Governmental Agencies. Any
deed, instrument or writing to which the United States or
any agency or instrumentality thereof, any state or
territory, or political subdivision thereof, is a party
shall be exempt from the tax imposed pursuant to this
Chapter when the exempt agency is acquiring title,"
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 13th
day of October , 1969, and was adopted on the 27th
day of October , 1969, by the following vote, to wit.
