AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTIONS 12.24.070 AND 12.24.058
OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.24.070 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"12.24.070 Prima Facie Speed Limit -- Forty Miles
per Hour. The prima facie speed limit on the following
named streets or parts thereof shall be forty miles per
hour.
Palisades Road from Jamboree Road to MacArthur
Boulevard.
Dover Drive from West Coast Highway to Westcliff
Drive.
Eastbluff Drive from Bixia Street northerly to
Jamboree Road.
San Joaquin Hills Road between Marguerite Avenue and
MacArthur Boulevard."
SECTION 2. Section 12.24.058 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"12.24.058 Prima Facie Speed Limit -- Fifty Miles_
per Hour. The prima facie speed limit on the following
named streets or parts thereof shall be fifty miles per
hour:
San Joaquin Hills Road between MacArthur Boulevard
and Jamboree Road."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the

13th day of October, 1969, and was adopted on the 27th day of
October, 1969, by the following vote, to wit:
