AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 12.04.055 TO CHAPTER 12 OF
THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO PARKING ENFORCEMENT ON HOLIDAYS
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.04.055 is added to Chapter 12
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read;
"12.04.055 Holidays. Within the meaning of this
Chapter, holidays area
1. Every Sunday.
2. January 1st. °
3. February 12th, known on 'Lincoln Day.'
4. February 22nd.
5. May 30th.
6. July 4th.
7. First Monday in September.
8. September 9th, known as 'Admission Da�T.'
9. October 12th, known as 'Columbus Day.
10. November 11th, known as 'Veterans Day.'
11. Last Thursday in November.
12. December 25th.
13. Every day on which an election is held throughout
the State.
14. Every day appointed by the President or Governor
for a public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 15th
day of December , 1969, and adopted on the 22nd day
of December , 19 69 .
