AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 5.10.025 TO CHAPTER 5.10 OF
THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO USE OF PUBLIC BEACHES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 5.10.025 is added to Chapter 5.10
of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read:
"5.10.025 Use of Public Beaches. The City Manager
may approve special event permits for the use of public
beaches by established civic, charitable or service
clubs and organizations. All other requests for use of
public beaches for special events must be approved by
the City Council."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 22nd
day of December , 19 62_, and was adopted on the 12th
day of January , 19 70 , by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Shelton, Parsons,
Marshall, Rogers, Hirth, Gruber
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
COUNCILMEN: ABSENT
