ORDINANCE NO. 1649
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ESTABLISHING A PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT PLAN FOR CIVIC PLAZA (AMENDMENT NO.
455)
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows;
SECTION 1. The following described real property
located in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State
of California, to wit:
That portion of Block 55, Irvine's Subdivision, in the City of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per
map filed in Book 1, page 88, Miscellaneous Record Maps, records
of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Easterly corner of Parcel 2, as per map filed -
in Book 34, page 40, .Parcel Maps, records of said County, said
corner being in th6 Southwesterly line of San Joaquin hills Road
and the boundary of Tract No. 6015, as per map filed in Book 239,
pages 28 through 41, Miscellaneous I -laps, records of said County;
thence along said boundary the following described courses:
South 530 57' 12" Last 304.77 feet; Southeasterly 900.63 feet
along a 5927.50 foot radius curve that is concave Southeasterly
through an angle of 8° 42' 20 "; Southerly 39.59 feet along a
25.00 foot radius compound curve that is concave Westerly through
an angle of 900 43' 58 "; South 450 29' 06" l."est 44.82 feet; South-
westerly 521.14 feet along a 950.50 foot radius curve that is con -
cave Southeasterly through an angle of 3.1° 24' 50" to the be-
ginning of a 25.00 foot radius curve in the Northerly line of San
Clemente Drive as described in a deed recorded April 15, 1974, in
Book 11115, page 1269, Official Records of said County, said curve
being concave Northwesterly; thence along said Northerly .line the
following described courses: Southwesterly 37.77 feet along said
curve through an angle of 860 33'.43 "; North 79° 22' 01" West
616.11 feet; Westerly 196.37 feet along a 653.50 foot radius curve
that is concave Southerly through an angle of 170 39' 59 "; South
820 58' 00" West 100.02 feet; Westerly 150.52 feet along a 561.50
foot radius curve that is concave Northerly through an angle of
150 21' 32 "; North 810 40' 28" West 34.99 feet; Northwesterly 39.27
feet along a 25.00 foot radius curve that is concave Northeasterly
through an angle of 90° 00' 00" to the Easterly line of Santa Barbara
Drive as described in a deed recorded July 15, 1971 in Book 9720,
page_8S6 and.December 17, 1970 in Book 9493, page 359, said Official
Records; thence North S° 19' 32" Last 44.99 feet along said line
to the beginning of a 630.50 foot radius curve therein that is con-
cave Westerly;, thence Northerly 255.05 feet along.snid curve through
an angle of 23° 10' 38" to the Southeasterly line of Parcel 1, as
per map filed in Book 55, page 31, said Parcel Haps; thence along;
the boundary of said.Parcel 1 the following described courses: non-
tangent North 75° 08' 54" Last 32.73 feet; Northeasterly 351.95 feet
along a 500.00 foot radius curve that is concave Northwesterly throu.;
an angle of 430 46" 05 "; non- tangent North 58° 37' 11" ',Pest 15.00
feet; North 46° 29' 29" West 252.70 feet to the Southerly corner of
Paiccl 1, as per map filed in 13ook 64, page 22, said Parcel 'darts;
thence North 43° 30' 31" *East 328.02 feet along; the Southeasterly
line of said Parcel 1. to an angle point therein; thence North S°
26' 26" West 110.64 feet alono, the Easterly line of said Parcel 1
to a point on the Southerly line of said Parcel 2. described first
above, said point being on a 235.00 foot radius curve that is con-
cave Northwesterly, a radial to said point bears South S° 26' 26"
East; thence Northeasterly 186.67 feet along, said curve through an
angle of 450 30' 46" to the point of beginning.
which is zoned P -C, is hereby amended to establish a Planned
Community Development Plan known as Civic Plaza, Amendment
No. 455.
SECTION 2. Copies of said Development Plan entitled
"Planned Community District Regulations" containing eight pages
of text and four pages of diagrams are on file in the office
of the City Clerk for the City of Newport Beach and are made
a part hereof by this reference, and also are on file in the
offices of the Department of Community Development.
SECTION 3. The Community Development Director of
the City of Newport Beach is hereby instructed and directed to
show said amendment on said property and P -C District, as
described hereinabove; and, as said P -C District shall have been
so amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be
a part of Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
8th day of Decker 1975, and was adopted on the 22nd
day of pece>rher , 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
