ND,N AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
Al �T CHAPTER 15.37 ENTITLED "APPROVAL IN
CONCEPT PERMIT" TO TITLE 15 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 15.37 is added to the Newport
Beach Municipal Code to read:
"CHAPTER 15.37
APPROVAL IN CONCEPT PERMIT
Sections:
15.37.010 Intent
15.37.020 Approval in Concept Permit
15.37.010 Intent. In order to comply with the provisions
of Division 18'of the California Public Resources code,
entitled "California Coastal Zone Conservation Commission ",
and the South Coast Regional Commission's operating regula-
tions, it is necessary for the City of Newport Beach to
approve in concept all projects in the Coastal Zone Permit
area prior to any action by the South Coast Regional
Commission.
15.37.020. Approval in Concept Permit. A fee of
Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00) is hereby established for the
issuance of an Approval in Concept Permit. However, a fee.
of Ten Dollars ($10.00) will be charged for minor applications,
such as signs, swimming pools and jacuzzis, patios, decks,
fences and any similar applications for projects which
would not increase the floor area or intensity of use. Said
fee may be modified in the future to reflect changes in
the economy or cost of living indices by Resolution of the
City Council. ",
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
_ This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
�- of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
10th day of �a� 1976, and was adopted on the 24th
day of NU 1976, by the following vote, to wit:'
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Dostal
Barrett, Kuehn, McInnis, Williams
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Ryckoff
