AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 14.12.090 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE WATER
RATES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14.12.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"14.12.090 Quantity Charges. In addition to the
readiness to serve charges set forth in this Chapter,
the rate for water supplied to consumers through a meter,
other than pursuant to a written contract approved by
the City Council, shall be as follows:
For First 100,000 Cubic Over 100,000 Cubic
Effective Date Ft. per Month per Meter Ft. per Month per Meter
Aug. 25, 1976 $0.33 per 100 cu. ft. $0.23 per 100 cu. ft.
July 1, 1977 0.39 0.25 "
July 1, 1978 0.45 " 0.27 "
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
12th day of July , 1976, and was adopted on the
26th day of July 1976, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Dostal, Barrett,
Kuehn, McInnis, Ryckoff, Williams
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
